A holding company

Named for a goddess.
Built for my mother.

Artemis was a warrior — Greek goddess of the hunt, the moon, and quiet protection. So was my mother. For more than thirty years she fought multiple sclerosis with a grace that didn’t make news.

ArtemisWorx is built in her honor — a small holding company for tools that help people do hard things.

What we build Tools for people doing hard things.

In her memory The story.

My mother at the shore at sunset, arms open to the sea.
She was the steady light in the dark.

My mother was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was a child. Over three decades she lost things most people never have to think about — balance, then steps, then independence — and she refused, every single day, to let the disease define who she was.

She was the warrior in our house. Never one to stay quiet, Artemis was fierce when she believed in something, or someone. When she was gone, the inspiration for what I wanted to build was born. Her conviction and spirit are infused in everything we do at ArtemisWorx.

Artemis — protector, hunter, the steady light in the dark — and Worx, because the tribute is in the doing.
